Free Academic-Use PDFTextStream Licenses

Thank you for your interest in using PDFTextStream in your academic studies and research work. We are glad to be able to support the broader software development community by providing free 1-year PDFTextStream licenses for use in academic settings.

Eligibility

Many people engaged in research or study at academic institutions are eligible to receive a free PDFTextStream license file. Eligible persons include:

  • Virtually any student (must be at least part-time, i.e. 2 or more classes in a term)
  • Virtually any professor or other faculty
  • Research assistants

Please note that administrative and I.T. staff that are not enrolled in a course of study and are not faculty are not eligible to receive an academic-use license.

The rules of this program are simple:

  • License files are issued to approved applicants only (determined at our sole discretion)
  • License files are issued for 1-year periods, after which one may reapply for a new license file if necessary

How to apply

Send us an email including the following information:

  • Your name
  • The name of your school / university / college

  • What your role is (one of student, professor/faculty, or research staff)
  • Your title, if you have one

Assuming you meet the criteria described above, you should receive your academic-use PDFTextStream license file within a week or so.
